Richmond, Va. (Newsradiowrva.com) - NBC12 Meteorologist Andrew Freiden says it's a good bet we will see some severe storm warnings this late afternoon and evening. A warm front is moving northward, and dragging humid air into the region.

Freiden says the risk for severe storms is greatest along the North Carolina border but cannot be ruled out anywhere. Tornadoes are also possible. The threat starts around 4pm, but is more like after 6pm, according to Freiden.

The weekend is expected to be wet and cool.
