Richmond, Va. (Newsradiowrva.com) -- Monday's hot and humid weather will shift a lot this week, as Tuesday is expected to bring storms and significant rain. NBC12 Meteorologist Andrew Freiden says areas could receive an inch of rain, and there might be localized flooding, with rain coming through with a strong cold front Tuesday afternoon.
Freiden says Tuesday will start out in the 70s, and then dip into the 60s with the rain coming through. He says behind the storms, the weather will feel May-like, with temperatures only in the 80s Wednesday and Thursday and low humidity.
Tropical Storm Claudette is not a threat to Virginia. The storm went to our south and back out into the Atlantic.
