Richmond, Va. (Newsradiowrva.com) - There is a possibility for some snow in the Richmond area this Wednesday, according to NBC12's Nick Russo, though likely not enough to cause impacts on the roads. While regions north of Richmond are more likely to get some snow accumulation, the Richmond area is more likely to see a light wintery mix.

If this snow misses us, according to Russo, this is likely to be the least snowy winter on record in Richmond, as he sees little opportunity for snowfall later in the winter. The only winter currently on record with less snow was 1918-1919. While this week is set to be relatively cold, Russo expects the weather to begin warming up next week, likely to remain above average for the rest of the winter.
