Spotsylvania, Va. (Newsradiowrva.com) - Comments from two Spotysylvania School Board members, about burning books, are starting to get a national notice. Board members Rabih Abuismail and Kirk Twigg said certain books should be burned during Monday's school board meeting.

The comments were made after a parent complained about "sexually explicit" material available through Riverbend High School. Abuismail suggested all sexually explicit material should be removed from the schools that night, and offered to get a group together to do so. He expressed dismay that it remained after the parent first complained to the school. Twigg's comments followed Abuismail, and he also suggested he would go beyond sexually explicit material as well.

Abuismail has a Richmond tie, as he once worked as an intern for former Congressman Dave Brat.
