Richmond, Va. (Newsradiowrva.com) - Virginia State Police say they are investigating a drive-by shooting on I-95 in which a car was struck more than ten times. State Police say the shooting appears to have occurred between the Maury Street and Bells Road exits on I-95 Southbound.

Police were initially called around 2:45am for a car crash. They did not locate the car on the interstate, but eventually found it at a gas station on Commerce Road. Police believe the car was shot more than 10 times, the driver then struck the guardrail, but was able to get to the gas station. He has serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

The victim was not able to provide any suspect information to State Police. State Police also do not believe it is related to the shooting that happened in the city on West Broad Street.
