Richmond, Va. (Newsradiowrva.com) - The State Supreme Court has requested three new nominees from Republicans to help with redistricting, after Democrats raised objections. The Court says one nominee has a conflict of interest, and they have concerns about the other two.

The Court says nominee Thomas Bryan has a conflict as he once worked with the Senate Republican Caucus on redistricting. The Court says it wants "special masters who are qualified and do not have conflicts of interest."

The Court also asked for a new Democratic name as one nominee there has expressed some reservations about the job. The State Supreme Court is handling redistricting because the Commission that was supposed to could not come to an agreement.
