Richmond, Va. (Newsradiowrva.com) - Richmond Police say they have made an arrest in the deadly shooting outside City Hall.
On the morning of March 8, Vincent Robison was found with a gunshot wound at a Greater Richmond Transit Company (GRTC) bus stop in front of Richmond City Hall, on East Broad Street between 8th and 9th Streets. He was taken to Virginia Commonwealth University Medical Center, where he later died.
According to the Richmond Police Department, detectives arrested 29-year-old Johnathan Jackson of Richmond without incident on Wednesday, March 20. He has been charged with murder and use of a firearm while committing a felony in connection to the death of 33-year-old Vincent Robison, Jr. of Richmond.
“Detectives have been working this difficult investigation without pause since the morning of the shooting on East Broad Street,” said Richmond Police Chief Rick Edwards. “I am constantly impressed by the dedicated persistence of our officers and detectives, by the steadfast assistance of our partner agencies and by the important contributions of tips from the public.”
