Richmond, Va. (Newsradiowrva.com) - The Virginia Tax Department says tax rebates will start heading out to eligible taxpayers next week. Commissioner Craig Burns told the House Appropriations Committee a small number of people might even see rebates this week as they test their systems.
Eligible individuals will receive $250. Couples will receive a rebate of $500 if they filed jointly. The large majority of rebates should be received by Halloween.
The General Assembly approved the rebates last session.
