Richmond, Va. (NewsradioWRVA.com) - The Richmond metro will see heavy rain in the late morning to midday and then maybe an isolated severe storm this afternoon before the system exits the area by this evening.
NBC 12 Meteorologist Andrew Freiden says the conditions in the Richmond area pale in comparison to what's happening in the Northern Neck and Middle Peninsula as flooding as happening in areas by the Chesapeake Bay. Winds are also a factor there.
Winds aren't much of an issue here unless we have a severe storm this afternoon - but even those will be isolated and not widespread.
The weekend looks dry and sunny.
