Richmond, Va. (Newsradiowrva.com) - UPDATE: State Police now say the driver of the septic tank truck, Brent Szarzynski, 36, of Chesterfield, died at the scene. Police say a second truck carrying I-beams stuck the overpass, causing an I-beam to hit the tanker and leading to an explosion. No charges have been filed as of yet.

Traffic downtown has been a nightmare Wednesday afternoon, after a tanker truck was involved in an accident on I-95 Southbound, underneath the Belvidere overpass. The accident lead to a fire, and the closure of I-95 and Belvidere.

I-95 and Belvidere will be closed until the wreck can be cleaned up. The overpass also needs to be inspected. Charring can be seen on traffic cameras for the area. VDOT says the closures will go through the evening.

Belvidere is closed from Leigh Street to Mitchell Street, which is where Belvidere becomes Chamberlayne Avenue.
