Richmond, Va. (Newsradiowrva.com) - It now appears the forecast for the end of the week is trending more snowy than icy. NBC12 Forecaster Nick Russo says when it is all over Friday, Richmond could be looking at three to six inches of snow, with some ice mixed in. Greater icing is likely to the south and west, for example, in Amelia County.
The storm actually begins Wednesday evening as rain, according to Russo. It then changes to freezing during the afternoon Thursday, before pivoting to snow overnight into Friday. Russo expects a bad commute Friday morning.
Areas north of Richmond could get five to ten inches of snow.
