Richmond, Va. (Newsradiowrva.com) - Virginia Commonwealth University Police detectives are working to identify a suspect who stole multiple e-bikes near VCU Medical Center.

The suspect, seen in photos taken from VCU surveillance cameras on March 1, is connected to the following incidents:

• On Feb. 26 at 11:49 a.m., a navy blue Avention E-bike was taken from the bike rack at 1000 E. Broad St. (outside Children’s Hospital of Richmond)
• On March 1 at approximately 4:43 p.m., a white Avention E-bike was taken from the bike rack at 1201 E. Marshall St. (outside McGlothlin Medical Education Center)

Detectives believe the suspect cut or removed cable locks attaching the e-bikes to the racks. In both instances, the suspect was spotted on cameras riding away on the stolen property.

In surveillance footage, the suspect is wearing a white shirt and light-colored pants with a dark-colored mask over the lower portion of his face.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Detective Jackson (804-389-1681 or jacksonbd3@vcu.edu) or Detective Wiggins (804- 543-4099 or wigginsfm@vcu.edu).
