Richmond, Va. (Newsradiowrva.com) - The Virginia Department of Health has announced it is unveiling a new Covid dashboard. The dashboard, which will be updated weekly on Fridays, will focus on cases, hospitalizations, and deaths among kids.
As of right now, VDH says there have been over 120,000 cases among kids, 380 hospitalizations, and nine deaths. The data on the dashboard will be broken down by region, as well as four age groups (0-4, 5-11, 12-15, and 16-17).
VDH is continuing to stress vaccination among those eligible. Kids under 12 are not eligible. However, VDH says widespread vaccination will protect those who cannot currently get vaccinated.
