Richmond, Va. (Newsradiowrva.com) - The Virginia Department of Health is simplifying the Covid-19 vaccination schedule, thanks to guidance from the CDC. The new advice is if you have had a bivalent vaccine, you are good. If you have not had one, get one.
The Division of Immunization's Christy Gray says they are also recommending a booster bivalent vaccine for those who are older or are immunocompromised. She is not ready to say yet if everyone will likely require a bivalent booster at some point. Gray says the FDA and CDC will be looking at that this summer
Gray reminds people that Covid is still present, even though it we are getting back to normal.
