Richmond, Va. (Newsradiowrva.com) - State Police have released the annual crime analysis report, showing that violent crime went up five percent in Virginia in 2022. This is for all categories of violent crime; individual categories may have risen or decreased.
The report shows homicides increased over ten percent. Motor vehicle thefts rose almost 22%. However, drug arrests dropped nearly nine percent. State Police produce this report yearly and it covers all law enforcement departments.
