
Richmond, Va. (Newsradiowrva.com) - With the Johnson and Johnson Covid vaccine approved, Virginia's Vaccine Coordinator anticipates the Commonwealth receiving 69,000 doses next week. However, that number will be a peak for the next few weeks.
Dr. Danny Avula says that's becuase J&J has an initial supply, and then will need to ramp up production. He expects minimal doses for much of March, because peaking again near the end of the month.
The vaccine has advantages in that it only takes one shot, and can be stored more easilt.
