Blacksburg, Va. (Newsradiowrva.com) - A Virginia Tech freshman linebacker had his first court appearance Thursday morning, after being arrested an accused in the death of a 40-year old Blacksburg Man. Police have still not released many details as to what they believed happened between Isi Etute and Jerry Smith.
Etute is charged with second degree murder and is being held without bond. He was appointed an attorney and will have another court appearance in Setpember, after Virginia Tech has already played two games. Etute has been suspended from the team.
Etute enrolled in Virginia Tech in January. He went to high school in Virginia Beach.
