Richmond, Va. (Newsradiowrva.com) - Virginia's Elections Commissioner Susan Beals says 107,000 voter records, and the resulting voter applications impacted by a technical glitch have been processed, with the help of local registrars. The glitch and applications had been a source of concern for State Senate Democrats, who had written multiple letters to the Elections Department looking for answers. The Elections Department also announced they had signed a contract for a new voter registration system.

Beals also says corrected notices have been sent out to thousands of voters who received notices with mistakes on them. The impacted voters were in Northern and Southwestern Virginia. Northern Virginia has two extremely competitive Congressional elections this year.

Beals also says as of Monday, 373,000 Virginians have early voted.
