Washington, D.C. (Newsradiowrva.com) - Senator Mark Warner (D) says his office has been contacted by between five to ten Virginians in Israel, and they have helped some of them get out of the country through Jordan. He is also encouraging Virginians and Americans in Israel to contact American diplomats.
Warner says he will support additional defense funding for Israel, as President Joe Biden (D) is expected ask for. Warner also calls the attack by Hamas militants "barbaric."
Warner also sidestepped a question, on a call with Virginia reporters, about the humanitarian situation in Gaza, again calling the militants "barbaric."
