Washington, D.C. (Newsradiowrva.com) - Amid controversies surrounding classified documents being found at locations tie to President Joe Biden (D), former President Donald Trump (R), and former Vice-President Mike Pence (R), Senator Mark Warner (D) says the country has a over-classification problem. Warner also says the problem likely leads to officials not treating documents with the respect they deserve,
Warner says Congress needs to look as some de-classification. The Democrat says he favors additional transparency.
Warner says it is right for the Special Counsels to be pursuing these cases. However, he says the consequences are a Department of Justice matter, not his matter. Warner is Chairman of the Senate Intelligence Committee.
