Richmond, Va. (Newsradiowrva.com) - Senator Mark Warner offered criticisms of the House bill passed regarding the national debt, as well as his opinions on the ongoing debate as a whole.

Warner stated that "nothing would be worse" than the US defaulting on its national debt, and that anyone suggesting otherwise represented "the height of irresponsibility."

He said that the bill passed by the House was pushed through with "swamp-like tactics," and that he believed most Americans wouldn't like the content of the bill, given the opportunity to thoroughly review it. Debate is normal and necessary, according to Warner, but an agreement must be reached.
