Prince William, Va. (Newsradiowrva.com) - Republican Candidate for Congress Yesli Vega has conceded in the Seventh District, 12 hours after a number of outlets, including the Associated Press, called the race for Congresswoman Abagail Spanberger. The Seventh used to include areas around Richmond but is now a Prince William County/Fredericksburg area district.
In her statement, Vega congratulates Spanberger on a hard fought win. She also says she looks forward to working with Spanberger in the future. Vega says they gave their all but came up short.
The Republican says she remains committed to serving on the Prince William County Board of Supervisors.
