"Congratulations to the 47th President of the United States, Donald J. Trump, and Vice President-Elect JD Vance," Youngkin posted on social media. "The American people decisively chose to return common sense, strength, and leadership, back to the White House and Senate paving the way for an economic revival, a secure border, and stronger America on the world stage. Our nation’s future is bright!"
After securing a win in Wisconsin early Wednesday, Trump obtained the 270 electoral votes needed to claim the presidency.
