Richmond, Va. (Newsradiowrva.com) - Governor Glenn Youngkin is scheduled to meet Taiwanese President Tsai Ing-Wen during his Asian Trade Mission. It comes following moves over the last several months against mainland China by Youngkin, and shortly after her meeting with the U.S. House Speaker.
Since December, Youngkin has banned Tik Tok on state devices. Tik Tok has Chinese ties. He also ended pursuit of a Chinese-tied manufacturing plant, and lobbied the General Assembly to ban purchases of Virginia farmland.
Youngkin's trade mission will run from April 24th to April 29th. He will also visit South Korea and Japan.
