NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – A dozen New Yorkers of the avian variety had a happy Mother's Day with help from the NYPD.
Two officers rescued the ducklings from the Upper East Side on Sunday morning and reunited the young birds with their mother in Central Park.
The ducklings wandered several blocks past Lexington Avenue before they were rescued by the officers from the 19th Precinct, according to police and Manhattan Bird Alert, a Twitter account that tracks birds in the borough.
