Bindi Irwin is getting ready to become a mother to her baby daughter.
In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, the 22-year-old said her late father Steve Irwin would be very excited to meet his first granddaughter.
“He would’ve been a good, good grandpa,” Irwin said. “I don’t think we would’ve ever seen our daughter. He would’ve just whisked her away into the zoo and it would’ve been perfect.”
Irwin said she would most definitely show her daughter exactly what kind of a man her father was. She said she is fortunate to introduce her baby to her grandfather through all of the documentaries he is in throughout his career. Irwin said it is going to be a “special” moment.
Terri Irwin, Steve Irwin's widow, is looking forward to becoming a grandmother and spoke more about her late husband.
“I will say one thing for sure is you would never have to wonder what he would’ve worn during any of the milestones, Terri said.
Terri also joked about her husband’s everyday wear.
“He would’ve worn khaki to [Bindi’s] wedding, khaki to everything,” Terri said.
Bindi Irwin and husband Chandler Powell shared that their daughter is due any day.
Bindi shared that one family tradition will not happen during her daughter’s birth. There will be no cameras in the delivery room.
