LaTanya Young, 38, is Dre’s eldest daughter with Lisa Johnson. Young was interviewed by the Daily Mail and revealed she is currently homeless and living out of a rental car. The single mother-of-four currently works as a delivery driver for DoorDash and Uber Eats as well as an assembler at a warehouse, but claims she is unable to secure an apartment in California.

Young notes that her kids are staying with friends at the moment. “They are not living in the car, it’s just me,” she says. She added that she is struggling to cover the cost of her rental car, saying, "the car is a pretty penny. It's an SUV that costs $2,300 for three weeks and I only paid for one week. Sooner or later they are going to take the car."

"I'm homeless and I've been reaching out to my dad for help," Young added. She noted that she hasn’t seen her father in 18 years and does not have his cell phone number. As a result, she can only contact him through his lawyers.

"His lawyer has said that my dad doesn't want to help me because I've spoken about him in the press,” Young says. “I feel like I'm damned if I do, I'm damned if I don't. I'm just trying to communicate with him and see if he wants to talk to his grandkids. My kids are old enough to know who he is. They are in shock that he doesn't want anything to do with them."

Young went on to say that Dre has helped her in the past by paying her rent and giving her an allowance, but that help ended in January 2020. “People label me as a millionaire's daughter so they don't understand why I'm working,” Young said.

“It makes me want to crawl under a rock. He used to help with our rent and gave an allowance but he told us he wouldn't do anything anymore. I'm out on the streets. I asked him for help and I haven't got a response back from his lawyer.”

Dre and Johnson split when LaTanya was five years old. Dre was recently ordered to pay his ex-wife, Nicole Young, nearly $300,000 in spousal support per month. The order must be adhered to on a monthly basis as Nicole will receives support until she remarries, enters another domestic partnership, or either herself or Dr. Dre becomes deceased.
