13-year-old labradoodle, Brody, needed a special celebration for his milestone birthday.

Raegan Fink and her brother Ethan went viral on TikTok this week after sharing the aftermath of what they deemed a "bark mitzvah" for their senior dog. The play on words stems from the coming-of-age ceremony celebrated in the Jewish faith.

"My dog turned 13 today so ofc he had to celebrate his bark mitzvah," Raegan captioned the TikTok. The video gained nearly 200,000 views in just one day.

The video features Brody dressed in a blue and white yarmulke and tallis in celebration of his ceremony. The brother-sister duo even lifted the pooch in the air on a chair while dancing to Hava Nagila, which is a tradition at a typical bar mitzvah.

Brody was treated to a plate of special treats and gifts.

"We had always talked about doing it years ago, and then time crept up on us and my dog actually lived to be 13 so we knew we had to celebrate," Raegan told the Daily Mail.

"For his bday gift we got him some toys from Target and he loved it," she added, noting that the dog's attire came from Amazon.

Raegan is "thrilled" that the video has gained so much attention. "The majority of comments are overwhelmingly happy for us and Brody is really getting to shine," she said.

Brody isn't the only dog getting into costume for a big occasion. Toad, a French Bulldog owned by Amy and Clint Herrington, has been dressing up for the holidays as a countdown to Christmas.

The dog has been sporting costumes from classic holiday movies and recreating favorite scenes as a part of Toad's 25 Days to Christmas campaign that his owners launched for him on Instagram.

"Making these silly videos of him gave us something to do while we were working from home. I started posting on my own account and then realized that my friends were getting sick of it," Amy told CNN.
