This week’s Furry Friend Friday spotlights Champion, an affectionate young dog with a championship name and a heart full of love.

Champion is a little over a year old, weighs 57 pounds, and is currently waiting for his forever family at LifeLine Community Animal Center in Atlanta. While his name may sound like he's ready for competition, this charcoal-colored, teddy bear-like pup would much rather spend his time cuddling with his favorite people.

Volunteers describe Champion as sweet, friendly, and easygoing with a low-to-medium energy level. He enjoys leisurely walks, walks well on a leash, and is always happy to stop for a few extra pets and cuddles along the way.

Those who have spent time with Champion say his gentle personality is what makes him stand out. One volunteer even called him one of the sweetest dogs they've ever walked.

Champion is already neutered and ready to go home today. If you're looking for a loyal companion who loves affection and wants nothing more than to be by your side, Champion could be the perfect addition to your family.

Champion has been waiting for a home since June 30 and is hoping his forever family finds him soon. You can meet Champion and hundreds of other adoptable pets at LifeLine Community Animal Center, located at 3180 Presidential Drive in Atlanta. No appointment is needed.
