Before we make Pi Day all about pizza (yeah, we're going there), let's talk about why we're making such a big deal out of a match equation.

Pi is the ratio of a circle's circumference (I already need a middle school match refresher) to its diameter. A circle ia a little more than three times as it is wide. The number settled on starts with 3.15 and has been measured out to over 50 trillion digits beyond the decimal point. I'm not sure why; maybe it's so we can celebrate Pi Day every year on March 14 (3/14).
I asked the Star 94 team about their favorite pie in Atlanta. Here are their answers:
Jenn Hobby - Italy's Pizzeria
"Our favorite pizza is in Marietta at Italy’s Pizzeria! [They have] Big slices, perfect crust, and it's not too heavy on the sauce or cheese!"
1000 Whitlock Avenue, Suite 110, Marietta 30064 | (678) 384-2142
Kannon - Savage Pizza
"I love the Savage Pizza in L5, but there’s one in Decatur and it’s my go-to! Savage understands that the sauce is everything. Plus the vibe at Savage brings out my inner punk."
484 Moreland Avenue, Atlanta 30307 | (404) 523-0500
Jerry - Gino's NY Pizza Bar
"I haven’t tried that many places (Jerry is relatively new to Atlanta from Boston), but of those I’ve tried Gino’s is my favorite. They also listen to Star 94. Gino’s is the closest to NYC pizza that I’ve had. I like the Sicilian pie (square slices). The crust is thick and the sauce and cheese are great."
1740 Cheshire Bridge Road, Atlanta 30324 | (404) 874-4466
Alyssa - Biba's Italian Restaurant
"I love Biba’s Italian Restaurant. The pizza is simple and traditional, plus for non-pizza eaters they have a good sandwich and entree menu. They have two locations in Gwinnett and Hall County."
7338 Spout Springs Rd, Flowery Branch 30542 | (770) 965-0012
Beau - Antico
"Antico in the Battery for me! Brick oven pizza is delicious, and one of my most favorite things to do in the summer is break out the lawn chairs, get a pie, and watch the Braves play away games in the lawn! Kids love going there too! Something about being at the ballpark…"
One Ballpark Center, Suite 420, 2605 Circle 75 Parkway SE | (678) 890-2222
Knox - Fellini's Pizza
The first slice I tried when I got to Atlanta 20+ years ago was at Fellini's and my love affair hasn't stopped. Great vibe, huge slices, open late when I need it to be, and lots of locations (Decatur was my first, Howell Mill is my go-to now).
