Transformers: Rise Of The Beasts hit theaters over the weekend and it's the perfect summer movie for the entire family. The 90s inspired film follows up after Bumble Bees harrowing journey in 1987 and introduces more of the transformers character line up including Maximals, Predacons and Terrocon.
The scene is set in New York 1994 and audience members can enjoy incredible performances from lead actors Dominique Fishback and Anthony Ramos as the pair go on an incredible adventure with the Transformers to save the world. I had the chance to sit down with Director Steven Capel Jr, Actress Dominique Fishback and recently nominated for Best New Artist Tobe Nwigwe to talk all about the movie and their experience creating such an epic summer flick.
The Swarm Actress, 32, shared her personal insight and experience from working both on our t.v. screens and now the big screen and how she took inspiration from Shia LaBeouf's acting journey from television to movies. Fishback shared it was a full circle moment in her career to be able to be apart of the Transformers franchise given how it was on of the projects that inspired her to get into acting.
Rapper Tobe (Tobe Nwigwe), 36, made his acting debut in the film and it was quite the impression. The Houston Native brought a fun charisma to the screen leaving movie goers hoping he will continue to be apart of the franchise in the future. His song On My Soul with Nas featuring Jacob Banks left the audience charged up and ready to fight along side the transformers in their epic battle.

Director Steven Capel Jr. did not drop the ball on this film and has left Transformers fans excited for what's next in the franchise. He personally shared with me how important it was to capture the essence of the 90s, from the culture to the music and more. Both Fishback and Nwigwe praised the director for his incredible work in fighting to get the perfect vision. Capel seems to be on a roll as it's the second film he's stepped in to make an epic sequel the first being Creed II back in 2018. It personally felt like Capel truly is a fan of the Transformers and wanted to keep their story true to the original storyline while creating a whole new set of fans to keep the Transformers story going for the next generation of movie watchers.
