While Drake and Meek Mill’s beef had long been squashed, it’s no secret it took the “Back To Back” collaborators some time to get to the point they are now.

There was even a time when Drizzy wasn’t very welcome in Meek’s hometown of Philadelphia. However, those times have certainly changed, because when Drake’s It’s All a Blur Tour rolled into the City of Brotherly Love this week he brought out the hometown hero as his special guest.

As has been customary throughout the tour, at the top of the show Drake walks out on stage accompanied by a guest, usually someone special to that particular city tour stop.

“You see who I walked out here with, right? I’ma always keep it a hundred with you,” he told the crowd shortly after hitting the stage at Philadelphia's Wells Fargo Center, taking a moment to reflect on his bitter feud with Meek, specifically the time he was ran out of Philly by his former rival.

“The last time I was in this building, that man right here, he’s been representing this city since he started in this s***.”

“That man,” he continued, “me and him weren’t getting along at the time, and he’s a real n**** so he definitely got us up out of Philly real quick. We did not get to stick around and chill. And like I said, I’m a real n**** so I’ma tell you the truth.”

After keeping it 100, Drake went on to celebrate his and Meek’s growth and friendship since burying the hatchet. “It means the most to me that I can come back to this city and show the growth as two men, that we can come here tonight and we can represent for muthaf***ing Philadelphia together,” he added, prompting loud cheers from the crowd. “That’s what this s*** is about.”

“So I appreciate Meek walking me to the stage tonight. Philly, I appreciate you embracing me with open arms one more time.” Check out a clip of his speech below.

Though he vowed to “tell the truth,” there was one small inaccuracy in Drake’s story, because the last time he performed at the Wells Fargo Center, he and Meek Mill had actually already patched things up and he even brought out the Championships rapper on stage. So he might have been talking about the time before. Regardless, let’s just appreciate the continued growth of these two men. Love this for them.
