Johnson took to Twitter saying "Oh s—! Wow" with a a side-by-side photo of himself and Patrol Lieutenant Eric Fields of the Morgan County Sheriff's Office.
“Guy on the left is way cooler,” the actor joked referring to Fields.
He continued, “Stay safe brother and thank you for your service. One day we’ll drink @Teremana and I need to hear all your “Rock stories” because I KNOW you got ‘em.”
The tweet, which was posted late Monday, has already received over 20,000 likes.
The photo first went viral after a local man contacted the police department wanting to meet The Rock’s celebrity look-alike. Fields, who sports a shaved head and rippling muscles like Johnson, doesn’t mind resembling one of the biggest stars in the world.
“I’ve been called The Rock and Vin Diesel’s love child,” Fields told AL.com after his photo went viral. “I go along with it. It’s humorous. It’s flattering. It could be worse people, I guess.”
While Fields enjoys meeting people in the community, he admits living up to their expectations can be stressful.
“I don’t want to disappoint anybody,” the 37-year-old added. “I walk up one day and at a different angle, I don’t know. It’s flattering, but it’s also a little nerve-racking as far as what others expect I guess.”
