PITTSBURGH (100.1 FM and AM 1020 KDKA) Don't put away that winter coat just yet.

We may be in the 70's today, but that's all about to change.

AccuWeather Meteorologist Dean DeVore tells Larry and Kevin on the News Radio KDKA morning show that we could see some snow on the last day of March.

DeVore says rain will turn to snow on Thursday leaving a coating to an inch around Pittsburgh. Farther north and in the higher elevations could get 2 or 3 inches.

DeVore says the snowfall around Pittsburgh won’t be of much concern but says there could be a few slick spots Thursday evening on the roads.

And with the snow comes some frigid temperatures on the first day of April.

“Much more worrisome is the temperatures falling into the low to mid-20s Thursday night and again below freezing Friday night, I’m pretty sure that may be the last below freezing, looking at some of the longer-range stuff, might have another frosty night or two as we come ahead but hopefully this is the last little gasp,” said DeVore.

The good news is temperatures will once again climb this weekend with highs in the 50s on Saturday and mid-60s on Easter Sunday.
