PITTSBURGH (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) - You can visit your mom on Mother’s Day according to a top doctor at UPMC.
Dr. Donald Yealy raised a few virtual eyebrows in a Zoom news conference when he recommended people could safely celebrate Mother’s Day with their mom this weekend.
“A visit with your mother in a small group with appropriate distancing and all the usually hygiene protocols makes a lot of sense,” said Dr. Yealy.
When pressed further, Dr. Yealy said he wasn’t recommending people violate the governor’s stay-at-home order.
He said Mother’s Day can be done smartly and help deal with some of the social isolation that has real consequences.
