PITTSBURGH (Newsradio 100.1 FM and AM 1020 KDKA) – The Pennsylvania Resources Council (PRC) will host an electronics recycling collection even in June to residents in Butler and Armstrong counties.

The event will dispose of televisions, computers, and other electronic equipment.

The event will take place on Saturday, June 19thfrom 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. at Freeport Middle School in Sarver.

Participants will pay a fee to dispose of TVs, computer monitors, and printers.

For free, residents can drop off cell/home phones, computer towers, keyboards, laptops, mice, video game consoles, and DVD players.

Anyone wishing to recycle must register by clicking here or calling 412-488-7490X3.

“In addition to the advance registration process, PRC is integrating on-site procedures to reduce the number of interactions occurring between event participants and staff to promote safety,” according to PRC Interim Managing Director Sarah Alessio Shea.  “To streamline the process at our events, we’re asking participants to wear face coverings and stay in their vehicles while the contractor unloads the materials.  When preparing to attend one of these collections, participants should place all materials in their car trunks or truck beds.”
