Vanessa Hudgens rose to fame portraying Gabriella Montez in the widely popular High School Musical film series. Since her breakthrough role, the actress and singer has amassed mainstream success, but she shares it has taken years for her to find true growth as a person.
On the latest episode of On Purpose With Jay Shetty, Shetty sits down with Hudgens to talk about manifestation and the importance of nurturing your inner child. “It’s taken so many years of reflection and growth," said Hudgens. “And doing the uncomfortable work to shape me into the person that I am.” Hudgens further added that actually processing her emotions has allowed her to both grow and evolve.
“I think for me, what got me deeply intrigued in you and wanting this conversation with you, is the conversations we had through Zen Zone,” said Shetty. “When you would come on and share your reflection, I was just like ‘I had no idea Vanessa had this intentional mindful practice in her life.’” Today, Hudgens is also an entrepreneur. She recently launched Caliwater, a line of cactus water and her own skincare brand called Know Beauty. During the podcast episode, she mentions how she balances it all and remains grounded.
