A terrifying video shows a young girl swimming at a beach in South Carolina as a shark’s fin comes out of the water and approaches her.
Sara Oister, 11, was boogie-boarding before the scary incident occurred, according to WPVI.

“I was taking video of her, and all of a sudden, she starts running out of water,” said Sara’s mom, Nicole Oister. “She said she saw a fin coming up out of the water towards her ... I looked back on the video to see if I had captured it, I did.”
The pre-teen described her feeling following the harrowing moment.
“Even though I know we’re in their habitat, I didn’t think I was going into that day thinking I was going to be right next to a shark,” Sara said.
Luckily, the altercation didn't lead to any sort of injuries.
This isn’t the first time this summer a young girl was involved in a shark incident.
Earlier this month, a day at the beach turned into a scene out of a horror movie for a young girl in Maryland.
Jordan Prushinski was swimming in knee-deep water at the beach in Ocean City when things took a gruesome turn.
“I didn’t really realize what was going on until I was on the beach and I was bleeding everywhere,” she told WBRE. “I thought a horseshoe crab had got lifted up and hit against my shins, and I don’t like the sea creatures, so I rushed out immediately to find blood everywhere, with cuts all over my left leg.”
Jordan’s mother, Melissa Prushinski, ran to get help and was assisted by a vacationing couple that happened to be a nurse and paramedic. They quickly began administering first aid to the 12-year-old’s wounds.
Jordan was taken to a local hospital and received 42 stitches for the 20 cuts on her legs. However, while Jordan never saw what bit her, her family is confident it was a shark.
