
San Diego State defeated Furman 75-52 in a game that the Aztecs controlled from start to finish. Trailing 17-15 with 10:41 remaining in the first half, SDSU went on a 15-0 run, to take a 30-17 lead, and took a 14 point lead into the half. The deficit was too much for Furman to overcome.
San Diego State dominated in nearly every facet of the game, with a +24 margin in points in the paint, +13 on second chance points, + 16 in rebounds, +10 in assists and +4 in blocks. Micah Parrish led all Aztecs in scoring with 16 points off the bench, to go along with 3 starters contributing double digits: Matt Bradley, Lamont Butler and Darrion Trammell. The Aztecs are advancing to the Sweet 16 for the first time since 2014, and will face the winner of the Alabama-Maryland game.
