AUSTIN (Talk1370.com) -- Here are the latest coronavirus updates from across Central Texas, for July 6:

Travis County: 7 new deaths were reported Monday by Austin Public Health, alongside 247 new cases of COVID-19. That brings the total number of confirmed cases in Travis County to 11,926, with 144 deaths and 8,905 recoveries. That leaves 2,877 active cases, a decrease of 205 from Sunday's report.


A total of 466 patients are hospitalized across the five county metro area, an increase of 20 from Sunday. 140 are in intensive care and 83 are on ventilators. 69 new admissions were reported on Monday, with the 7-day moving average of new hospitalizations up to 64.6

Williamson County: County officials reported three new deaths on Monday, bringing the total to 45. Officials also reported 300 new cases for Saturday, 164 new cases for Sunday, and 218 new cases for Monday, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 3,151 - an increase of 682 from the last update on Friday. 108 patients are hospitalized, with 31 in intensive care and 12 on ventilators.

Hays County: 105 new cases were reported Monday, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 3,193. Officials reported three new deaths, bringing the Hays County fatality total to 10. All three residents were from San Marcos, officials said, including a father and son in their 70s and 50s respectively. 2,655 of the cases are active, an increase of 106 from the last data update on Thursday, with 528 recoveries. 20 patients are currently hospitalized, an increase of 2 from Thursday's update.

Bastrop County: 52 new cases were reported Monday, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 520. 159 of those are recovered, along with 6 deaths.

Caldwell County: 12 new cases were reported by DSHS on Monday, bringing the Caldwell County total to 449 confirmed cases.

State of Texas: Texas crossed a grim milestone of 200,000 cases Monday, reporting 5,318 new cases for a total of 200,557. 18 new fatalities were reported, bringing the total number of deaths statewide to 2,655. Hospitalizations continue to rise, with 517 new patients reported on Monday for a total of 8,698 across the state.
