AUSTIN (Talk1370.com) -- Authorities are investigating a homicide in a north Austin neighborhood Friday night.
Austin Police said officers were investigating the scene in the 500 block of Carpenter Avenue, just off North Lamar Boulevard near Payton Gin Road.
According to APD, a 911 call came in just before 7 p.m. saying that someone was shot. When officers arrived, they found a male victim that had injuries consistent with a shooting. He was pronounced deceased on the scene at 7:11 p.m.
No suspects are in custody; police say there does not appear to be any ongoing threat to the public.
