AUSTIN (Talk1370.com) -- Authorities are investigating a suspicious death in southeast Austin on Friday night.
Austin Police responded to the 3600 block of Chapman Lane, near East Ben White Boulevard, just after 8:15 p.m. Friday. A 911 caller had reported a body with trauma laying near the road.
When officers arrived, they found a man with obvious trauma in the roadway, with "injuries incompatible with life." The man was pronounced deceased at 8:33 p.m.
The Travis County Medical Examiner's office will conduct an autopsy.
Anyone with information on the case is asked to call the APD Homicide tip line at 512-974-8477. Police say the body was found in an area that has multiple businesses, and they're searching for surveillance video that may help with their investigation.
