AUSTIN (Talk1370.com) -- The suspect in a deadly "domestic situation" in northwest Austin Sunday afternoon, a former Travis County Sheriff's detective, has been arrested without incident Monday morning.
41-year old Stephen Broderick was taken into custody Monday morning near Manor after 911 callers reported seeing a suspicious man walking on Old Kimbro Road.
Broderick has been charged with capital murder, and will remain in the Travis County Jail without bond.
On Sunday, Austin Police say they received 911 calls reporting the shooting at 11:42 a.m., from the intersection of Great Hills Trail and Rain Creek Parkway. According to Austin Mayor Steve Adler, the shooting happened at the Arboretum Oaks apartment complex.
Austin-Travis County EMS, Austin Police, and Austin Fire crews all responded to the scene, which at the time was called an active shooter situation.
APD interim chief Joseph Chacon said three victims were killed in the shooting - two Hispanic females, and one Black male. EMS says the victims were all adults. Chacon said a child that was thought to have been involved in the incident was uninjured and was with authorities.

A shelter-in-place order for the immediate vicinity around the shooting location was lifted just after 4:30 p.m. Sunday afternoon. Police say their search for Broderick continues, although officials say the search has turned into a fugitive manhunt.
According to court records, Broderick was charged with first-degree felony sexual assault of a child last year, and was released on a $50,000 bond. Travis County District Attorney José Garza said Sunday afternoon his office is working to revoke that bond. "I am grateful to the courageous members of our law enforcement community who are actively working to bring Mr. Broderick into custody," Garza said. "When he is apprehended, he will be held accountable."
APD's Air 1 helicopter was seen circling the area, assisting with a massive ground search. Authorities also blocked off traffic in both directions on Loop 360 between Spicewood Springs Road and U.S. 183 for a time during the afternoon, eventually re-opening the lanes to traffic.
ATCEMS medics said there were no reports of other patients, but spent much of the afternoon staging nearby, ready to enter the incident area once the scene was secured. At least 18 EMS assets responded to the scene, officials said.
Anyone with information on the incident, or Broderick's whereabouts, is urged to call APD's Homicide tip line at 512-974-TIPS, or Crime Stoppers at 512-472-TIPS. A $1,000 reward is being offered for information leading to Broderick's arrest. Broderick is considered to be armed and dangerous, and should not be approached.
