AUSTIN (Talk1370.com) -- New details were released Friday in a deadly shooting at the Arboretum shopping center in northwest Austin, just one day after two people died and a third patient was hospitalized with serious injuries.
Investigators have identified 38-year old Tang-Kang Dave Chiang as the suspect in Thursday's shooting, and 64-year old Laura Jauregui as the victim who died on the scene. A second, unidentified female victim was transported to a local hospital with serious injuries.
According to APD, investigators have determined that Chiang shot both women unknown to him, killing Jauregui, before killing himself with a firearm.
Despite initial reports, no explosives or other devices were located at the scene.
Investigators are still working to determine the shooter's motive.
