AUSTIN (Talk1370.com) -- Austin Police are investigating after a man was shot and killed in North Austin late Sunday afternoon.
Police were called to the 8100 block of Research Boulevard just before 5:30 p.m. Sunday. A 911 caller said they heard multiple gunshots; when police arrived, they found a man lying in the middle of the street.
Despite lifesaving efforts, the man was pronounced deceased a short time later.
Police say they believe the incident is an isolated one, with no ongoing threat to the public. So far, there is no information on a suspect. Anyone with information is asked to call the APD Homicide tip line at 512-974-8477.
