AUSTIN (Talk1370.com) -- Austin Police are investigating the city's first homicide of 2022 after a man was found lying in the road in northwest Austin Wednesday night.
Police were called to the 8100 block of Elkhorn Mountain Trail, near McNeil Drive and U.S. 183, just after 10 p.m. Wednesday.
911 callers reported hearing several gunshots. When officers arrived on the scene, they found a male victim lying in the roadway.
Paramedics were called to the scene, but the man was pronounced deceased on the scene.
No suspect is in custody.
