AUSTIN (Talk1370.com) -- Austin Police are investigating a homicide on the city's northeast side Monday afternoon.
Police say they received multiple 911 calls from the scene in the 12700 block of Harris Branch Parkway, near Howard Lane, just after 1:45 p.m. Monday. The callers reported a disturbance of some kind and hearing multiple gunshots.
When officers arrived on scene just after 2 p.m., they found a white male in his mid 40s. Despite lifesaving measures, the man was pronounced deceased a short time later at 2:29 p.m.
Police say there is a suspect in custody in the case, although investigators are working to determine the relationship between the victim and the suspect. They do believe this is an isolated incident.
