AUSTIN (Talk1370.com) -- Austin Police are investigating what they're describing as a dispute between neighbors, which ended in a "deadly confrontation" Thursday morning.
Just before 11 a.m., police announced via Twitter that they were called to the 9300 block of East U.S. Highway 290, just east of Springdale Road at the Eryngo Hills Apartments.
According to police, they found a 30-year old Black male with "obvious trauma" to his body outside of one of the apartments. He was transported to a nearby hospital but was pronounced deceased a short time later.
Police say a weapon was recovered from the scene, and a person of interest is in custody. It's being investigated as the 14th homicide of 2022 in the city.
