Accused in two murders, Dallas police officer has now been fired

Dallas police officer Bryan Riser was already facing two murder charges. Now, he's been fired.

Dallas Police Chief Eddie Garcia terminated Riser during a disciplinary hearing yesterday, ending 13 years of employment with Dallas Police Department.


Riser, 36, was arrested March 4 and accused of having offered to pay three people to kidnap and kill 31-year-old Liza Saenz and 61-year-old Albert Douglas in 2017.

Police say Douglas' body hasn’t been found, while Saenz’s body was was pulled from the Trinity river.

Riser's Attorney Toby Shook tells KRLD his client was 'taken off guard' by the charges against him.

Riser remains in jail on $5 million bond.
