A very honest employee at a North Texas Goodwill store returned $5,000 found in a donated jacket.
Early last month a donor returned to the store in Hurst in a panic, after realizing his wife accidentally donated the jacket with the cash inside.
The jacket had gotten mixed in with a bag of clothes they were donating.
The store manager said they would look, but couldn't make any promises because they get so many items donated every day.
Last week an employee sorting through donations came across the jacket and inside was a bank envelope with the missing cash. The money was returned to the owner and Goodwill awarded the employee for her honesty and integrity.
